The actor’s journey is one of self-discovery. As with our students, the process of teachers acting and creating together builds a strong sense of community that fosters deep teaching and learning. We are committed to deepening networking and support structures, as well as developing common threads for Theatre curriculum for all BPS students. Professional development offerings are artist-centered and content-specific, allowing us to share best practices, resources, concerns, and challenges in a confidential, safe group of peers. As the district embraces the Common Core and National Core Arts Standards, we are developing common threads for theatre curriculum for all BPS students. All theatre teachers are invited to join us in this collaborative effort to increase access to quality theatre arts experiences in the Boston Public Schools.
